The Veneers Placement Process
The veneer placement process typically takes two appointments over the span of 2-3 weeks. Dr. Walton will begin by cleaning and numbing your mouth. Then, he will remove a very thin layer of enamel (about 0.5mm) from your teeth. This enamel is removed to ensure that your veneers will fit onto your teeth seamlessly. Impressions and photos of your teeth will then be taken and used to create your permanent veneers. In the meantime, you’ll wear a set of temporary veneers to keep your smile looking great in between your appointments.
When your veneers have been completed and sent to our office, Dr. Walton will check them for proper fit and finish, and bond your permanent veneers into place using dental cement. Finally, your new teeth will be buffed and polished, and the procedure is complete.
